Oct. 20th, 2006
01:21 am - $400 Poetry Slam Finals set for Friday Night!
The first Night of Necromancer is done, completed just minutes ago, and here are your results:
Preliminary Bout 1 saw Kelsey Miller pull out a squeaker over Chesko, Doyle, Bill Campana and Patrick Hare, she really showed a ton of strength in her performance and writing. Patrick Hare debuted a tremendous new poem, political in nature of coarse and hilarious to the end...
Preliminary Bout 2 saw a herculean effort from Brent Heffron in the one minute round, moving from 4th place to second at the wire, behind Paul Davis and ahead of Kevin Patterson, Cat Klotsche and Tristan Marshell. Kevin Patterson was the suprise of the night, putting in two VERY strong performances, but unfortunatley a prop penalty kept him out of third place...
That sets up a final night of:
Six tremendous poets competing for $400 in prize money...
